World Press Freedom Day is a day to celebrate the brave men and women who have risked their own lives over and over again to bring us the truth.

Journalism is one of the most noble and selfless profession known to man. Journalists brave danger, hunger and hardship to give stories a voice. They give people a voice and they help change the world in their own little way.
The dangerous trend of violence or harassment of journalists is completely unacceptable. Guaranteeing Anything short of a free press is a nation's shame.
However journalists themselves must realize that they have a responsibility to themselves and the world to tell the truth. They must be impartial and unbiased. Journalists must be held to the highest standards that their nobel profession demands.
Let us come together and reject the suppression of a free press, only dictatorships and extremists are afraid of journalist because they expose their corruption and Inhumanity.
No journalist should be detained, tortured or otherwise harassed in an attempt to stop them from doing their jobs.
Lastly, Our hearts must go out to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives in the pursuit of truth and in an attempt to make sure that everyone's story is told and is told right. These fallen warriors of the truth are heroes and deserve a minute of applause. Let us not mourn them, rather let us celebrate them, their work and what they died for!
