Why I Believe In Capital City Magazine by Amir Ado

When the founder and editor-in-chief of this magazine first told me about his idea of starting a picture magazine exclusively for the capital city of Nigeria, I felt that the idea was so crazy it just might work. Slowly but surely it started to come together. He had the idea in place, and an "A - Team" so to speak - a group of brilliant and committed young men and women determined to make the project a success. Then there was the man himself, Khalifa Baba Ahmad, someone I have had the pleasure of getting to know very well over the past year. To call him inspirational would not be enough to capture such a remarkable and driven young man. He is relentless in his hard work even as he juggles a number of things at the same time including school, the magazine project and other important aspects of his life.

Apart from this magazine being a testament to his commitment and zeal (as well as that of his equally zealous and committed team), it also serves the important purpose of providing a platform to various young and upcoming entrepreneurs who will no doubt shape the future of Abuja and the nation. Empowering young people by giving them this important gateway to the mainstream as well as being an entrepreneurial project itself makes this magazine unique and vital to the entire nation at a time when youth unemployment is perhaps as high as it has ever been. It is an important first step as far as the goal of getting our young people productive again is concerned.

I have also had the pleasure of being part of the reviewing of the magazine content and I must say that it has surpassed all my expectations. Expect powerful and top quality images as well as stories that will leave you the reader captivated and very impressed. So you may come for the message the first time but you will return again and again for the content, trust me on that one.

I cannot overemphasize the need for anyone who cares about young people to support and promote this magazine in anyway possible. That is why I will do as much as I can to support and promote Capital City Magazine. That is why I believe in Khalifa and his team. THAT IS WHY I BELIEVE IN CAPITAL CITY MAGAZINE.
